Worth every dollar

I’m not gonna lie…hangin out with kids gives me the giggles. We took this gaggle of geese to play at Shell Island, but the ride over was just as entertaining. Example of a snippet of conversation:

Michael: That’s by Michealangelo.

Kindle: Who is he?

Michael: You don’t know who he is? He’s a famous painter!

Luke: No, he’s not. He’s a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle!

We started the day off in 8-10 ft. waters. (I’m guessing cause I’m not so great at gauging.) This is where the older boys decided to get goofy with the Gopro….

Meanwhile, up on the boat, Kindle discovered a sea urchin:

And Michael discovered a crab:

My entertainment was busy entertaining me:

There were adults supervising, namely Fernando, Roman, and Daphne:

We then decided to go on land:

Then the Guardian of the Island told us to GO!!

We headed out. Kindle wanted to drive, and Fernando let her…..sucker!

The next place we went, I reckon the water was 4ft. deep, and it held the mother lode. There were starfish:

And sand dollars:

And more sea urchins:

Going back to the starfish; these wonderful creatures have this yellow dye which stains the skin. The kids referred to it as starfish pee. Here is what it looked like:

There were mixed reactions about it:

With this bounty of sea creatures, Fernando had to add more water to the bucket:

And what a bounty!

As 5:00 approached, Rowan gave the signal for the emancipation of the sea creatures:

Luke was anxiously awaiting their return:

And then Thomas freed them!

Fly away!

The boys took the Gopro to follow them:

It seems we have littered the sea floor with urchins, dollars, and stars;

which is as it should be.
